ENGLISH CREAMWARE WHIELDON-TYPE TORTOISESHELL CERAMIC CUP AND SAUCER SETS, LOT OF TWO, each having handleless form, one example with teal and green coloring and one example with green coloring. Together with a Whieldon-type tortoiseshell tea cup with slightly flaring rim and molded handle, having green coloring. Each retaining red accession numbers to bases, otherwise unmarked. Five pieces total. Staffordshire and other areas. 1740-1775.

Condition:

Teal set having some minute to minor flakes to cup and saucer rims; green only cup example having chips/losses to foot ring and saucer with minor flakes to rim and foot ring; handled example with two rim hairlines, moderate crazing and some discoloration.
