Dirk de Keyzer (b. 1958) is a Belgian artist and sculptor known for his figurative bronze sculptures, instilled with a subtle sense of humor.Born in Sleidinge, Belgium, heattended the Royal Academy of Eeklo and has been a professional sculptor since 1985.He specializes in cire perdue, lost wax casting, and reinvented and explored the possibilities of this method. His figures embody the idea of the “universal man” as they could belong to all cultures or none at all. Happiness, beauty, eroticism, and harmony are key elements in his work. The artist has exhibited his work in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, and the United States, among other countries.
