Delphin Enjolras

Delphin Enjolras (1857-1945), born in Coucouron, France, was a French painter whose most prominent body of work consists mostly of eroticized women rendered in the French academic style and created in various media such as oils, pastels, and watercolors. His other works include scenes of domestic interiors, usually illuminated by a single lamp. He studied under contemporary French painters of his time, such as Gaston Gerard, Jean-Léon Gérôme, and Pascal. He began exhibiting his works at the Paris Salon after 1890 and later joined the Société des Artistes Français in 1901.
