Danny Perkins (b. 1955), born in Frankfurt, Germany, is an American artist known for his painted blown glass sculptures.He studied at the Pilchuck Glass School, where he became an artist in residence and later in 2001 became an instructor. His work is influenced by Abstract Expressionism and combines the materiality of glass with color. He creates his sculptures by first breaking them and then reassembling and painting the pieces. His work is in numerous collections, including the Seattle Art Museum, Boston Museum of Fine Art, Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburg, and Coming Museum of Glass in Corning, New York, among others.
