Cappellini (estb. 1946) is an Italian furniture company founded in Arosio by Giulio Cappellini and is known for its contemporary, avant-garde design. The company began in a warehouse in the south of Milan, where it showcased its design innovations at Milan Furniture Fair-Frame. In the 1970s, the proprietor structured the company into a “Design Edition” and provided a platform for design new comers. Its collection is characterized by experimentation and exploration of new ways of living. Many of the company’s products are exhibited in museums throughout the world including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, The Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Pompidou Centre in Paris.
