Rare Jules Leleu Dining Chairs, Set of 10

Item Description:

Set is comprised of four arm chairs and eight side chairs, each with the original floral Aubusson tapestry trimmed with period nail heads. Additional detailing includes ormolu sabots on the front feet. The dining set comprised of table, sideboard/commode and chairs were commissioned by the Derveaux family in 1953 and are depicted in situ in a 1956 photograph in the dining room of Mr. & Mrs. Derveaux in "The House of Leleu." The chairs were also featured in the Introspective Magazine article "10 Interior Designers Reimagine Iconic Rooms" (Jorge S. Arango, 6.28.2020). 224.
