Rare 1968 Eric Clapton Cream Farewell Baltimore Poster

Rare 1968 Eric Clapton Cream Farewell Baltimore Poster

Item Description:

This poster dates from November 3, 1968 and features Cream in “Their Farewell Performance.” While this was not actually the last U.S. Cream performance (that was the next day at the Rhode Island Auditorium), it was close. The band played its final two concerts at Royal Albert Hall on November 25-26. The art on this poster is by Ed Argo, who co-produced the show with John Fritts. Were it not for a small hoard of about 10 of these posters surfacing about 10 years ago, they would barely exist. As is, they are very difficult to find and are seldom offered for sale. In fact, the last public sale we are aware of was a July 2013 auction sale, where an example brought $3,225. With the passing of Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker, Cream posters are being sought by fans of the supergroup.
