the console rests on four gracefully carved makara supports, each impressive open-mouthed creature shown with birds resting on his face and at his carved foliate neck, the four intricately carved legs originating from four celestial female beings that are part of the elaborately carved foliate apron with a dense scrolling network of flowers and leaves inhabited with multiple birds, some in pairs, others within oval roundels, the densely carved lower half of each female figure morphs gracefully into the beginning of the foliate legs which curve inward to form stretchers ending in similar makara heads and attach to a central foliate terminal surmounted by a bird with open wings holding fruit in its mouth, the gently-shaped ledge back mirroring the carved apron with scrolling leaves and flowers, occupied by a variety of birds and animals including a pair of lions flanking the central roundel with a hamsa
