Alwand Vahan Jewelers (estb. 1968) was founded in 1968 by Leon Calousdian, better known as Sacha. He was the third generation of jewelry designers and collaborated with his father in the development and evolution of their own style. He created a series of animal designs, informed by his time as a designer at David Webb, when he started his company. His first series were extravagant depictions of entire animals, but more recent works reflect a subdued expression of animal forms. Sacha’s eldest son, Greg, joined the Vahan Jewelry tradition in 2009. Currently, Alwand Vahan is still owned and operated by Sacha and his wife, and they produce a wide range of jewelry including bracelets, earrings, necklaces, pendants, and rings.
